Surrogacy Laws

WHAT IS SURROGACY?

Surrogacy is a method of transferring the embryos created from the eggs and sperm of people who want to have a baby with the IVF method to another woman’s womb that is healthy and has given birth without any problems before.

WHAT ARE THE LAWS OF CARRIAGE MOTHERHOOD?

In many countries, including Turkey, a baby’s biological mother is considered to be its legal mother. As a result, families who go abroad to have a baby through a surrogate mother may face a complicated legal situation when they return to Turkey. The accepted way in this case is to register the baby on the birth certificate of the mother who gave birth and then to be adopted by the parents. Surrogacy is legal in several countries, and for families who want to have children, this method is applied and biological parents are registered on the birth certificate.

CYPRUS SURROGACY

Commercial surrogacy became legal in Cyprus in 2002. In the practice of surrogacy in Cyprus, qualified doctors and reasonable wages have made this country an ideal place for surrogacy. After the legislative arrangement made in Cyprus in 2018, surrogacy can be done after the approval of the Ministry of Health to your file. For this purpose, we collect your health reports with other necessary documents and make the application on your behalf. After our application is approved, the normal medical procedure is performed and the birth is done in Cyprus.

Legal Actions and Procedures in Surrogacy

In order to uphold the legal requirements and protect the rights of the applicant, our team, which specializes in surrogacy, completes the produs from the state on behalf of couples applying for Cyprus. For couples who apply in Georgia, the notary authorized by the surrogate mother and the state of Georgia provides for the contract, which includes arrangements prepared in both Turkish and Georgian, protecting all rights of the family and the baby to be born.

So the surrogate mother belongs to the couple with the entire baby to be born after giving birth, and the surrogate cannot claim rights over the baby. In addition, the birth certificate contains the genetic mother’s name as a mother, and the genetic father’s name as a father. Single men can also have this procedure done in accordance with procedures for having a baby.
