WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF SURROGACY?
The surrogacy process is managed according to the way the sperm and egg are taken.
Surrogacy motherhood;
the surrogate mother’s own eggs,
donor eggs,
parents mother’s eggs,
sperm of the parent and father,

Age:
Especially in women aged 35 years and older, egg reserve and quality are decreased by a high amount. Existing eggs are also less likely to form a completely healthy embryo. Advancing age is also risky for labor. The process of surrogacy gives parents the advantage of bringing their baby into the world of a young woman.
Same-sex couples:
Especially male same-sex couples prefer this method by using donor eggs or surrogate mother’s eggs. In women, donor sperm can be taken.
Lack of uterus:
There are women who do not have a uterus as a result of many reasons such as genetic malformation, some types of cancer, uterine operations. The absence of a uterus makes pregnancy directly impossible.
Structural problems in the womb:
Women may have structural problems that make it difficult for the embryo to implant in the uterus or make it impossible to maintain the pregnancy. Malformation of the uterus does not reduce the chances of getting pregnant, but it can make it impossible for the woman to maintain the pregnancy until the birth process.
Other medical conditions:
While certain medical conditions may not directly affect a woman’s physical ability to have children, they can affect her ability to maintain a healthy pregnancy while maintaining her own overall health. Conditions such as heart disease, kidney disease, or severe diabetes can turn pregnancy into a life-threatening event for both mother and baby. Also, certain medications taken to treat a health problem or physical condition can put the health of the fetus at risk.
Personal preference:
Every individual has the right to build their family in a way that supports their personal choices. At the same time, surrogacy is not a medical choice for some women, but a social one.
